Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Public Witness Scheduler ("PWS", "the Service"), a web application owned and operated by Peninsula Logic, LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using PWS, you agree to these terms.
1. What PWS is
PWS is a scheduling tool for Jehovah's Witness congregations to coordinate public witnessing cart shifts. We provide it as independent software to the congregations and publishers who choose to use it. PWS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, or any other organization of Jehovah's Witnesses.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- Accounts are created by congregation administrators on behalf of approved publishers. By accepting an account you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Notify your congregation admin or jtucker@peninsulalogic.com promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use PWS only for the purpose of coordinating public witnessing activity within or between congregations. You will not:
- Send unsolicited commercial messages, spam, harassment, or content that is unlawful, deceptive, or abusive.
- Upload material you do not have the right to share, or content protected by copyright that you don't own or have permission to distribute.
- Attempt to interfere with the Service, scrape data outside what your role permits, or probe for security weaknesses without prior written consent.
- Use PWS to coordinate any activity unrelated to public witnessing.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you put into PWS (publisher details, shift assignments, in-app messages, location pins, attachments, etc.). By submitting it you grant Peninsula Logic, LLC a limited license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the Service for you and the other publishers in your congregation network.
5. Service availability
We work to keep PWS available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the Service offline for maintenance, security updates, or other reasons. We are not liable for missed shifts, missed reminders, or any other consequence of downtime — please continue to confirm your schedule independently.
6. No warranty
PWS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peninsula Logic, LLC disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peninsula Logic, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of PWS. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 USD or the amount you have paid us for the Service in the prior twelve months (which today is zero — PWS is provided free of charge).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Peninsula Logic, LLC against claims brought by third parties that arise out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
9. Termination
You may stop using PWS at any time. Your congregation admin can deactivate your account; superusers can do the same on request. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security risk to the Service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version is always at this URL. If we make a material change we will notify active users by email and post a notice on the home page. Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
